How the Clark County School Board voted Thursday to spend tax dollars:
* $18,973,592: to various vendors for for legal fees, construction contracts, band instruments, computer software and hardware, textbooks, audio visual equipment, furniture, registration fees and travel.
* $6,186,000: to Addison Inc. for modernization work at Beckley, Pittman, Ronnow and Ronzone elementary schools and Gilbert Elementary magnet school; and Mountain View and Tom Williams elementary school heating, ventilating and air conditioning system modernizations.
* $3,013,621: to Pace Contracting Co. for Las Vegas Academy modernization.
* $308,722: for bid awards to various vendors, including $52,028 to Shelton Battery Inc. for bus and car batteries; $37,7000 to Purcell Rossi Tires for recapping 600 tires; $43,406.80 divided among numerous vendors for auto service shop supplies; $91,627.16 divided among three vendors for fabrication metal products; $34,086 to Williamette Industries for computer paper; and $49,875 to Chief Automotive Systems Inc. for an auto frame alignment system to be used for vocational instruction.
* $289,148: to Tele/Data Contractors for computer upgrade at Clark High School.
* $145,584: to various vendors for change orders in construction contracts, including $118,345.76 plus 36 days to the construction contract of Clark & Sullivan Constructors Inc. for Vanderburg Elementary School; $22,071 to Affordable Concepts Inc. for modernization work at Smith Middle School; and $5,167 to Richardson Construction for modernization work at Vo-Tech cosmetology lab.
