UNR student crowned Miss Nevada

Amanda Marie Gunderson, 19, who represented Miss Northern Counties, was crowned Miss Nevada on Sunday night.
In the talent portion of the pageant, she sang "The Queen of the Night" from Mozart's "The Magic Flute."
Gunderson was among 16 women who took part in 49th Miss Nevada Scholarship Pageant at the Pioneer Center.
As Miss Nevada, Gunderson will represent Nevada at the Miss America Pageant in September in Atlantic City, N.J.
Miss Douglas County, Jenee Michelle Conway, was named first runner-up.
