A Las Vegas man who turned himself in to Metro Police has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 25-year-old man during a championship fight party at a southeast Las Vegas home.
A second suspect was still outstanding, homicide Sgt. Bill Keeton said today.
Arturo Pradera, 20, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center at 11:30 p.m. Sunday on one murder count and two counts of attempted murder.
Alfredo Flores, 25, of Las Vegas was shot in the leg during an altercation at 10 p.m. Saturday at 4656 Rita Drive, near Tropicana and Mountain Vista, police said. A bullet hit the femal artery in his groin and he bled to death, Keeton said.
About 40 people were at the house to watch the heavyweight rematch between champion Evander Holyfield and challenger Mike Tyson on pay-per-view when at least three uninvited guests crashed the party and started a fight, Keeton said. Several shots were fired in the process, he said.
Three people were hit, including Flores, who died later at University Medical Center.
Investigators believe Pradera and an accomplice ran from the house and later sneaked back, driving off in a gold Honda Accord.
