Health care consultants
Patricia Allen and Dr. Tony Alamo have opened Health Strategies Inc., an insurance brokerage and managed care consulting firm specializing in the development of health care delivery systems, workers' compensation and insured health care products.
Allen was formerly senior vice president of Med One Health Plan and its parent company, Prime Health Inc.
Distribution center
DeLuca Liquor & Wine Ltd. has bought 25 acres in Phase II at Hughes Cheyenne Center for a 200,000-square-foot distribution center for its Southern Nevada operations.
The architect for the new distribution center is Lucchesi Galati Architects, and the general contractor is Precision Construction. Construction is planned to begin in December with completion scheduled for March 1999. About 250 people will be employed at the center.
Energy consultants move
F. Neil Smith Associates, consultants to the industrial, power and energy industries, is relocating to 826 Rising Star Drive in Henderson.
FNSA provides development, financing, project and construction management for projects ranging from energy plants to wastewater remediation, mining to dams and cross-country pipelines.
Currently, FNSA is developing a project with Consolidated Natural Gas Inc. and other companies to provide Southern Nevada with economical electric power.
FNSA has branch offices in California, Colorado and New Jersey.
