The Philadelphia 76ers chose former UNLV star Kebu Stewart in the second round, the 36th pick overall in the 1997 NBA Draft.
After leading UNLV in scoring and rebounding as a freshman and sophomore, the 6-8, 240-pound Stewart transferred to Cal State-Bakersfield and was the NCAA Division II Player of the Year the past two seasons.
