Officials at work to move state fair from Reno to Carson City

But at least one fair official said the annual event could just as easily stay in Reno if the fair board does not get the deal it wants.
The dispute centers on Bar-One Enterprises, a company that holds the right to build an $18 million events center at Fuji Park in Carson City where the fair would be held.
Bar-One officials said if the fair board wants to spend more than 15 days at Fuji Park, it will have to pay the going rate and get in line with other events wanting to use the facility.
Gary Lubra , fair board executive director, said without the rights to build an events center and run the park year-round, he sees little sense in moving the event to Carson City.
