Microsoft to open licensing division in Reno

Microsoft spokesman Mark Murray says the company is creating is wholly-owned subsidiary, Microsoft Licensing Inc., to handle licensing agreements between the software maker and computer manufacturers.
The new division initially will create about 40 jobs and is expected to open next February.
"We're very excited to be part of the Reno community and we look forward to working closely with officials from the Reno area," Murray said.
