Imus out, Pacelli in on airwaves

There's another Nor'east-er blowing into Las Vegas radio -- but this one will actually touch down in town.
After dumping the nationally syndicated show of acerbic, New York-based Don Imus, talk station KXNT 840-AM has hired former New York/Connecticut talk show host Paul Pacelli to hold down the morning slot (5-9 a.m.) starting
Pacelli hosted national shows on cable's NewsTalk Television and the United Stations Radio Network, both out of New York. He also hosted one of the country's longest-running issue-oriented talk shows on WELI-AM in New Haven, Conn.
"He not only has a strong background in radio and television news, but he's also a captivating personality and a great storyteller," said Program Director Alan Eisenson in a statement.
Pacelli will complement local afternoon hosts Lou Epton and Sam Greenfied, who recently replaced another syndicated talker, Tom Leykis. They will frame a syndicated weekday roster including Rush Limbaugh, Paul Harvey, Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Art Bell.
