FBI agents and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Tuesday arrested Antone Davi, 29, and Richard Friedman, 55.
FBI spokesman Aurelio Flores said a joint investigation led authorities to believe the two men were involved in the Blitzstein homicide but declined to elaborate.
Davi is accused of committing violent crimes in aid of racketeering. Friedman is accused of being a felon in possession of firearms.
Blitzstein, 63, was shot at the base of his skull as he sat in his home.
Authorities have said he was killed by mobsters interested in infiltrating his business activities in Las Vegas.
Flores said authorities are in the process of determining who was the actual shooter.
Blitzstein was a close associate of the late Tony Spilotro, who served as the Chicago mob's overseer in Las Vegas.
