Trust fund established to help families of men killed in robbery

Gerald Spaeth, the 37-year-old shift manager, is survived by his wife Debbie and four children aged 8 through 16. Employee Elza Wire is survived by his wife Hollie, a 2-year-old and an infant.

Neither had insurance, according to Sandra Williams, who started the trust fund along with Colleen Freese, a neighbor of the Spaeth family in Spring Creek, the Elko Daily Free Press reported.

The trust fund was established in the names of the victims at the Bank of America at 605 Idaho St., Elko, Nev., 89801. Williams and Freese also have placed collection cans at a number of locations in Elko and Spring Creek.
