North Las Vegas Police are warning the public to be on the lookout for a man with bandaged gunshot wounds to the neck and shoulder who is a prime suspect in the near-death of an officer.
Detectives last saw James Robert Begg, 33, on Saturday after going to a house at 1728 Monte Alban Drive where police had been told an individual might be who knew their suspect.
Their suspect, Begg, was inside the house when detectives arrived and was last seen running from the rear of the residence. Police searched the area, but could not find Begg.
Begg is described as a white male adult, 6 feet 2, 190 pounds with brown hair, green eyes and possible bandaged wounds to his neck and shoulder.
Begg is accused of attempting to run down a North Las Vegas officer who had attempted to stop him for a traffic violation on Wednesday, police said.
Anyone with information on Begg's whereabouts is asked to call police at 633-9111 or Secret Witness, 385-5555.
