Pair of postal robbers sought
Monday, June 2, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two robbers who stole mail from a postal employee in Henderson.
The thugs, who were disguised with dark blue or black ski masks, made off with three gray canvas bags of mail on May 1 about 5:20 p.m. as a postal employee was collecting mail from the rear of the Green Valley Post Office branch.
The suspects were described as white males approximately 17-20 years old, with thin builds. One of the robbers, clean shaven with brown hair slightly over the ears, was last seen wearing black pants with a green and white checkered shirt.
Authorities said the robbers were seen before the robbery in a black car, possibly an older Ford Mustang, which they re-entered after the robbery and drove east toward Sunset Road.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Postal Inspection Service at (702) 796-5272 or (800) 654-8896.
