Notes: The rain-shortened tournament was scheduled to resume today at 9 a.m. EDT. ... If rain forces the cancellation of the third round, the tournament will revert to the 36-hole totals with Hoch the winner by two strokes over Tommy Tolles. ... Norman, winless on the PGA Tour since the 1996 Doral-Ryder Open, birdied the last four holes he played Sunday. ... Tiger Woods was 7-over through 12 holes of the third round. Playing partner John Daly, returning to the tour after a two-month layoff for alcohol rehabilitation, also was 7-over. ... Jack Nicklaus, 57, the course designer and tournament winner in 1977 and 1984, was 7-under through 12 holes of the third round. ... The winner will receive $342,000. ... The USGA pushed the U.S. Open sectional qualifier at nearby Columbus back to Tuesday.

Notes: Sorenstam has an LPGA-high four victories this year, and 10 tour titles in 23 months. The 26-year-old Swedish star, also the 1995 winner in St. Louis, leads the money list with $696,079. She also won the Tournament of Champions, Hawaiian Open and Longs Drug Challenge, and took the unofficial LPGA Skins Game last week with $220,000.

Notes: Morgan survived a bogey-bogey-double bogey finish for his third senior title in eight months. The seven-time PGA Tour winner won the Ralphs Senior Classic in September in his second senior start, and also took The Tradition in April. He's second on the money list with $754,342. ... Irwin, who won the 1995 tournament for the first of his eight senior titles, has a tour-high four victories this year and tops the money list with $891,231.

Notes: McFarlane, 36, of England, won his first European tour title, securing playing privileges on the circuit through 2002. He birdied Nos. 11-13 to take the lead and closed with five straight pars in windy conditions. ... Forsbrand, of Sweden, missed a chance to force a playoff when his 15-foot birdie putt slid by the edge of the cup on No. 18.
