Billy Raymond Johnson was captured by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on Thursday. He is being held on charges of robbery with a weapon, attempted sexual assault and kidnapping.
Police say he confronted Virginia Hastings inside the garage of her home and, brandishing a screwdriver, demanded sex. She refused and he then forced the woman to drive him to a nearby ATM, where he forced her to withdraw the money.
The man then demanded to be dropped off at a bus stop.
It was later determined the man worked for a landscaping company that did work at the woman's home.
The victim is the mother of Las Vegas defense attorney Martin Hastings.
