LV physician loses license

The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners has revoked the license of Las Vegas physician Bryant Chomiak to practice medicine in the state.
The board found Chomiak guilty of practicing medicine while under the influence of controlled substances and unable to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety because of the use of alcohol, drugs and narcotics.
The board also revoked the license of Fallon physician Stephen Paul Dubin.
The board found Dubin guilty of attempting to obtain a license to practice medicine in Nevada by fraud, misrepresentation or incomplete statement and engaging in conduct intended to deceive.
Specifically, the board found that Dubin failed twice to inform the board of an indictment filed against him in the U.S. District Court in Hawaii, which was pending when Dubin applied for a physician's license in Nevada.
