Letter: Threats were made against home & condo owners group

Friday, July 18, 1997 | 12:05 p.m.

The name of the attorney who expressed a desire to sue some of us and the names of those who stated that a "contract" should be taken out on our lives have been well noted.

Isn't there an adage, "the guilty parties yell the loudest"? Should anything happen to any of us, be assured that Metro and other pertinent persons will have the names for any investigation.

These attitudes seem to make it quite obvious that the passage of SB314 was necessary. Certainly our legislators agreed. To the guilty who are running scared, isn't all this after the fact now?

Thanks again to the Las Vegas SUN and that special compassionate columnist Ken McCall, who helped us. Your many exposures of problems proved that First Amendment rights do exist. Free speech and a right to have an opinion are both allowable freedoms. Agreed?
