Philip T. Rowe, 44, was traveling west on U.S. 50 when the accident occurred Monday night about three miles west of Ely, authorities said.
Rowe had been drinking and over corrected when his small pickup truck drifted off the road, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The truck went into a skid, flipped over a guard rail and crashed down an embankment. The truck continued to overturn and traveled over two sets of railroad tracks before coming to a stop.
Rowe was ejected and pronounced dead at William B. Ririe Hospital in Ely, the patrol said.
