Donations push arts center project forward

Program coordinator Kirk Robertson said the project received $275,000 from the Nevada Committee for Cultural Affairs and $10,000 from the Bretzlaff Foundation.
"We originally had funding to build the shell, just the box," Robertson said. "This additional money is not enough to finish the theater, but it makes it possible for us to do structural and block work, a major portion of the interior work."
The Churchill Arts Council is restoring the old school building for use as an art gallery and performing arts center.
