But the Hug Hih School band boards a Reno Air jet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for the cross-country flight to Washington D.C. and the inaugural parade.
The prestigious invitation came with a price. The band had to earn its own way. And as recently as this month, it had only $6,L00 of the $120,000 price tag.
But a last-minute push, including $15,000 from the Reno City Council, sent the band on its way.
Reno Air, which normally does not fly to the nation's capital, said the Hug band will be the only one arriving on a plane with ts home town's name on the fuselage.
