School district spending

How the Clark County School Board voted Tuesday to spend tax dollars:

* $552,545.88: to various vendors for bid awards for such things as tires; vehicle hoses, belts and clamps; motor oil, transmission fluid and lubricants; a rotary riding mower; food; and batteries.

* $2,411,690: to various vendors for contract awards for renovation and modernization work: $685,000 to J.B. Rodgers for heating, ventilation and air conditioning renovation at Taylor Elementary; $1,213,900 to J.A. Vay and Sons Inc. for modernization at Rowe Elementary; $267,000 to Commercial Aire Services for heating, ventilation and air conditioning modernization at Ullom Elementary; and $245,790 to Commercial Aire for the same work to be done at Warren Elementary. All work will be paid for through the 1994 bond fund.

* $109,359.47: in change orders, including $59,929.58 to Pace Contracting Co. for work on the Becker Middle School expansion and $49,429,89 plus 13 days to the construction contract for Richardson Construction Inc. for upgrades at the food service central facility.

* $22,194,337.78: to various vendors for such things as athletic equipment, computer software and hardware, legal fees, textbooks, band instruments, copying machines, library books and auto replacement parts.
