UNLV women humbled by the Aztecs

SAN DIEGO -- UNLV commit ted 29 turnovers and was outscored by 26 points in the second half as the Lady Rebels dropped their seventh straight game with a 92-48 Western Athletic Conference loss at San Diego State.

The Lady Rebels trailed by 18 points at the half, 42-24, but SDSU outscored its guests 50-24 in the final 20 minutes to remain unbeaten in the WAC.

Jodi Nowlin-Tres scored a game-high 32 points Thursday night to pace the Aztecs (8-5, 3-0). Toby Girard was the lone player to score in double figures for the Lady Rebels (2-12, 0-3) with 15 points.

The loss marked the third time this season the Lady Rebels have lost by more than 40 points. UNLV's next game is Saturday at 7 p.m. (PST) at Hawaii.
