Metro Police are hoping a murder victim's purple rose tattoo will bring them closer to learning who the woman was and who her killer may be.
The tattoo, alongside of which was the name "Danny Gibbons Sr.," was found during an autopsy on the lower right side of her abdomen. She was also wearing a silver metal ring with a red stone.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of death, but have determined foul play was involved.
Two people target shooting in the hills about 4 1/2 miles east of Hollywood and Pabco roads discovered the partially decomposed corpse Saturday off the side of a dirt road.
She has been identified as a white female in her early 20s to mid 30s, 5 feet 4, approximately 110 pounds with red toenail polish, protruding front teeth and short reddish-brown hair.
Anyone with information on the woman is asked to call homicide detectives at 229-3521.
