Carl Fontana established his reputation early on as soloist with the renowned big bands of Woody Herman, Lionel Hampton and Stan Kenton. Today, he is generally regarded by his peers as one of the greatest trombone players of all time.
Showtime is 2 p.m. Tickets are $17 general admission, $5 for seniors and Jazz Society members. The Winchester Center is located at 3130 Pecos. For information, call 455-7340.
The concert is sponsored by the Las Vegas Jazz Society, Clark County Parks and Recreation and KUNV 91.5-FM.
