Joan M. Matticks, 61, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 27, 1935, in Pennsylvania. An eight-year resident, she was a corrections officer.
She is survived by her husband, John; a son, John Matticks III of Las Vegas; a brother, William Drazdowski of Pennsylvania; and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church. Desert Memorial handled arrangements.
