Veteran DMV employee dies

Stella Rosaschi might have passed away unnoticed except for a thwarted effort to have the renovated DMV building in Carson City named for her.
The Legislative Commission unanimously approved the idea, but Gov. Bob Miller nixed it, saying state buildings should only be named for governors.
Rosaschi was born Nov. 4, 1911 and joined the state motor vehicle division in 1955. It became part of the DMV four years later.
She retired in 1989 after typing up more than 4 million vehicle titles and was living in a Dayton retirement home at the time of her death on Sunday.
Funeral arrangements were being handled by Walton's Funeral Home here.
