The casino, operated since 1992 by the Mashantucket Pequots, was ranked behind Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Branson, Mo. in the annual survey, published in the February issue of ABA's Destinations magazine.

"The demand for information about Foxwoods is building, and the number of people who want to go is building," said Ginger Croce, director of operations for ABA.

Croce said she was surprised Foxwoods made the list because tourist areas, not attractions, are typically named in the survey.

For the fifth annual ABA survey, more than 230 motorcoach and tour operators in the United States and Canada rated cities and other subjects that affect the charter and tour industry.
