BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Orioles and Westinghouse Broadcasting Corp. agreed Tuesday to extend their television rights partnership for four years.
The deal runs through the 2000 season and calls for 65 Orioles games to be broadcast in each of the next four seasons. The partnership involves Westinghouse's Home Team Sports, Baltimore stations WJZ-TV and WNUV-TV, and WBDC-TV in Washington, D.C.
A minimum of 35 games will be broadcast by WJZ, with WNUV carrying the remainder. WBDC will carry all the games broadcast in the Washington area that are carried by WJZ or WNUV.
