Concert will honor works of Gershwins
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
Rose will sing Gershwin melodies while playing the piano and telling tales of George and Ira. He will take you back to Tin Pan Alley and Broadway of the 1920s when the brothers first became famous.
Rose, who worked in Hollywood's movie music scene in the '70s and played European cabarets all through the '80s, wrote and produced this show. He has been on the road full time with it for the past two years throughout North America.
This one-man show will run for two weekends beginning Friday at the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center.
Show times are 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Feb. 21 and 22, with 2 p.m. Sunday matinees this weekend on Feb. 23.
Advance tickets are available at Dillards for $14 and $12. The ticket information line is 387-3824.
A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to Shadetree Womens Shelter in Las Vegas.
GLEN ROSE will give a Gershwin concert the next two weekends.
