- Michael Jordan, Bulls, had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for the first triple-double in an All-Star game.
SETTING RECORDS
All-Star MVP Glen Rice set All-Star records Sunday night with 20 points in the third quarter and 24 in the second half. The Charlotte forward, who finished with 26 points, broke the quarter mark of 19 set by Hal Greer in 1968, and the half record of 23 set by Wilt Chamberlain in 1962 and matched by Tom Chambers in 1987.
SOMETHING DIFFERENT
For the first time, players wore their regular team uniforms instead of special All-Star outfits.
SUPERB IN DEFEAT
Seattle's Gary Payton 17 points and 10 assists for the Western Conference.
