Legislature schedule for Friday, Feb. 7

8 a.m. - Joint Senate Finance and Assembly Ways and Means holds budget hearings with the Department of Human Resources, including health care, child support, aid to dependent children, welfare and Medicaid.

8 a.m. - Senate Commerce and Labor hears a presentation by Public Service Commissioner Judy Sheldrew on electric industry restructuring.

9:30 a.m. - Assembly Government Affairs discusses mandatory bargaining for teachers and local government workers and changes to the charter of North Las Vegas. Meets in Sawyer Bldg. in Las Vegas, video-conferenced to Carson City.

Upon adjournment of Senate meetings. - Senate Government Affairs discusses hours that registrars must be open and hours for branch offices of certain county officers.
