Letter: Editor pointed out need for First Amendment
Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
My feelings are exactly the same as his. I was preparing an article to the Las Vegas SUN on this very same subject. However, he told it well. Thanks.
You may use my name in support of ABC concerning the Lion King vs. ABC.
ABC did the country a great service exposing the Food Lion; such investigations must continue.
The Food Lion's lawyers made a "smart move" in the way they presented their case; however, we would once again be back to 1932 and Hitler if the courts continue to violate the/our First Amendment rights. No one can say that the ABC "hirees" certainly were not disloyal to anyone. They should be awarded the President's Medal of Freedom for courage, valor and being great Americans.
Keep giving it/them hell! Where I Stand and the First Amendment are essential to our future and our country, especially as we look to the 21st Century, the new millenium.
