Reno mayor mum on re-election plans

But he's starting to walk like a candidate, talk like a candidate and to amass money like a candidate.

A fund-raiser last month at the home of Reno advertising executive Phil Rose brought in more than $20,000.

But he says he won't have an official announcement regarding a second term until next month.

Rose's firm has received more than $120,000 in the past year or so for various public relations jobs it has undertaken for the city.

But Rose said that has nothing to do with his hosting the fund-raiser. He said he's impressed with the job Griffin is doing as mayor. And, Rose adds, he has a big house.
