Police interviewed 15-year-old Steven McCabe on Monday at the Carson City juvenile facility where he was booked for possession of incendiary devices after bullets and shotgun shells were found in his locker.
McCabe was arrested on Wednesday after a fellow pupil he tried to enlist in his alleged plot went to authorities. Along with the shells, investigators found lists of people who allegedly would or would not participate in any plot and who would be spared.
Investigators still are not saying if they think the plot was genuine or if any other pupils were involved. Four other teen-age boys, all sophomores, were questioned and released to their parents.
School Principal Sandy Meacham said there were no plans to change security when pupils return after the first of the year.
"We have 26 adult staff members at the school and 13 are always on duty at every break," she said. "We have 475 kids on the campus.
"This could have happened anywhere," she added. "I feel the school is a very safe place."
