Cheyenne’s soccer team is no Riddle to Durango

Although the day was cold and blustery, several girls' soccer matches were red-hot Monday.
Durango nipped Cheyenne, 1-0, on Pam Riddle's score just after intermission. Lindsay Demaree, Mary Chambers and Angel Lewis each notched tallies as Valley knocked off Las Vegas, 3-0.
Bonanza defeated Cimar ron-Memorial, 2-1, as Ashley Perkes and Erin Armstrong scored goals. The Spartans' score came from Ysa Sanchez. Rancho used a late goal from Aurora Araiza to get by Eldorado, 2-1. Vanesha Bailey scored the other goal for the Rams; Christina Roskelly scored for Eldorado.
Jaime Barto had a hat trick and Jennifer Breeden and Kelly McCall added two goals each as Green Valley blasted Basic, 8-1. Sarah Sillitoe also scored for the Gators. Basic's score came from Shoshana Erickson.
Silverado got by Boulder City, 3-0, on the strength of goals from Shawna Park and Melanie Clarey.
