StumblePGA: Foltz fires 72 at Q tourney

Jerry Foltz led the Southern Nevada contingent in the first round of the $500,000 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament Wednesday at Haines City, Fla. Foltz, a Western High School grad, shot a 72 and was six shots behind leader Scott Verplank. Four-time UNLV All-American Chris Riley fired a 73 and Craig Barlow of Henderson had a 76. The low 35 and ties will earn PGA Tour cards.
