Victor Rodriguez, 38, was killed in the collision of his car and a sport utility vehicle. Police said Rodriguez failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign at a local intersection and drove into the path of a Ford Explorer. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to police.
Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Steve Harney said a 26-year-old woman was killed and three people critically injured when a sport utility vehicle went out of control and overturned on U.S. Highway 95, about 29 miles north of Las Vegas.
The vehicle carried Texas license plates.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
