Suspect in assaults sought
Thursday, Aug. 21, 1997 | 11:35 a.m.
Henderson Police are asking for the public's help in finding a teenager who attacked two women in separate incidents.
The first occurred at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 4 when a Green Valley resident was returning home from a walk at Wigwam and Green Valley parkways, police said. As she pushed a baby stroller and entered her subdivision gate, a male grabbed her from behind, fondled her and threw her to the ground. She screamed and the man fled on foot.
The second attack was at 8:55 p.m. Aug. 12 when a woman was jogging within a half mile of the first attack. A male came up from behind and grabbed her jogging shorts and tried to pull them down, police said. She ran, and he fled in the opposite direction.
The assailant is described as white, 16 or 17 years old, about 5 feet 5 and 135 pounds, with bleached blond hair. Anyone with information is asked to call Henderson Police at 565-2009 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
