Crafters Village at Cashman hall
Thursday, Aug. 21, 1997 | 3:44 a.m.
Crafters Village is produced by the Walker Organization, a local firm headed by Denny Walker. According to Walker, the show will have nearly 300 vendors this year, along with gourmet food, crafters, artisans and entertainment.
Several new vendors will participate in this year's show, joining many of favorite vendors from shows past. "We have something for everyone," said walker. "It's going to be an enjoyable family event, going way beyond the ordinary arts and crafts show."
Among the highlights planned for Crafters Village: the Tumbleweeds, a comic barbershop quartet; the Las Vegas Garden Railway Society and their G-scale model train setups; the Kringlekins elves; Time Out Dolls; John E. Toner, demonstrating his original carvings; and Peggy Watson, weaving wheat-straw dolls.
Tickets for Crafters Village are available at the show for $5, $4 for seniors and $2 for kids 6-18. Coupons for $1 off are available at Subway stores.
