MARGARET R. BELLMAN
Margaret R. Bellman, 73, of Henderson, died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 15, 1924, in Buffalo, N.Y. An 18-year resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Edward H.; one daughter, Judy Shockey of Loveland, Ohio; two sons, Steven Bellman of Henderson, and Edward L. Bellman of Lincolnton, N.C.; two sisters, Carol, and Alice of Georgia; three brothers, Tommy Dunning of Henderson, John Dunning of Iowa, and Jerry Dunning of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled one-half hour prior to 11 a.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.
ARNOLD BURCH
Arnold Burch, 84, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1913, in Provincetown, Mass. A 10-year resident, he was a retired teacher and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; two daughters, Ellen J. Ross of Las Vegas, and Dorothy B. Arvanitis of Brant Lake, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 5 p.m. Sunday in Community Lutheran Church. A private burial will follow. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89121.
ANGELICA 'KIKI' COLLINS
Angelica "Kiki" Collins, 31, of North Las Vegas, died Aug. 7 in a local hospital. She was born July 10, 1966, in Vallejo, Calif. A 14-year resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Verner; one son, Tracy Havis, and one daughter, Carolyn Havis, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Donna Marguardt of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and four brothers, George Montgomery of Washington state, Jimmy Montgomery of Oregon, and Charlie Montgomery and Clifton Montgomery, both of Vallejo.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is arranging private services.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
HANS EBNER JR.
Hans Ebner Jr., 52, of Las Vegas, died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 20, 1944, in Washington, D.C. A seven-year resident, he was a retired records manager for an information company, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the Nuclear Information and Records Management Association and American Configuration Data Management.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; and two sons, David Ebner of Las Vegas, and Mark Ebner.
The family had a celebration of life luncheon at noon today in the Orleans hotel-casino. Graveside services were private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
MARIE A. ECHOLS
Marie A. Echols, 65, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 2, 1932, in New York City. A 24-year resident, she was a retired service representative for the federal government.
She is survived by two sons, Darryl Echols and Duane Echols, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ralph Brown of New Jersey, and Ronald Brown and Kenneth Burton, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
NORMA JEAN JACKSON
Norma Jean Jackson, 71, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Indiana. A 15-year resident, she was a plastic factory worker.
She is survived by two daughters, Taryn Marcum and Tamara Hartley, both of Idaho; one sister, Joanna Grimes of California; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging private services.
DUANE EMMANUEL LAURIN
Duane Emmanuel Laurin, 61, of North Las Vegas, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 14, 1936, in Flint, Mich. A six-year resident, he was an electronics assembler of slot machines and a veteran of the Navy Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; four sons, John Laurin of San Francisco, James Laurin of Las Vegas, Peter Laurin of Norfolk, Va., and Christopher Laurin of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Debbie Laurin of Las Vegas; five brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. vigil today in Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King. Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
AUDILIO JIMENEZ LEIVA
Audilio Jimenez Leiva, 83, of Las Vegas, died Thursday in Las Vegas. A 20-year resident, he was born Nov. 5, 1913, in Chile.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Bauerle Leiva; two sons, Gonzalo Leiva and Raul Leiva, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Laura Torrez and Maria Busto, two brothers, Rosamel Leiva and Gustavo Leiva, and one sister, Laura Acuna, all of Chile; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until 3:30 p.m. services today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
ALEXANDRO MENDOZA
Alexandro Mendoza, 31, of Henderson, died Monday in Las Vegas. A two-month resident, he was born Nov. 10, 1965, in Texas.
He is survived by one son, Alex Jr.; three daughters, Alexandria Mendoza, Monique Mendoza and Alicia Mendoza; five brothers, Paul, Jesse, Mingo, Raymond and Jose; one sister, Sylvia Gallegos, and one uncle, Miguel Mendoza, both of Henderson; and his fiance, Velvet Swift of Utah.
Visitation is scheduled from noon-4 p.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be Monday in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
HENRY C. PINGTELLA
Henry C. Pingtella, 72, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 15, 1925, in Johnstown, Pa. A 20-year resident, he was a retired gaming salesman, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Marie Melanson of Westminster, Calif., Theresa Allison of Goldsboro, N.C., and Carmeliene Pingtella of Lakewood, Calif.; four sisters; two brothers; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled from 1-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
FLORENCE SUTTON
Florence Sutton, 92, of Las Vegas, died Saturday in a local care center. She was born March 6, 1905, in Arkansas. A three-year resident, she was a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Dessa Rae Clark of Las Vegas; two sisters, Helen Robinson of Palm Springs, Calif., and Rae Dibble of Montebello, Calif.; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

SHIRLEY CANDACE WARD
aka SHIRLEY SCOTT
Shirley Candace Ward aka Shirley Scott, 75, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Pasadena, Calif. A 43-year resident, she was a retired piano player and singer and a World War II Army veteran. Her stage name was Shirley Scott. She entertained in many hotel lounge acts and was the lead singer in her husband's band called The Modulators.
She is survived by two nieces, Karen Goerz Fisher of Montana, and Glenda Kruse of Texas; and one nephew, Gary Goerz of Texas.
Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, arranged private services. Burial was in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
