Arts Factory reception slated

George L. Sturman Fine Arts is a permanent new gallery on the second floor of the Arts Factory, exhibiting Sturman's collection of artworks from the past five decades. The works are drawings on paper and sculpture by Alexander Calder, Richard McLean, Willem de Kooning, Pablo Picasso and others. The works are shown by appointment only. Call 383-3133 to schedule a personally guided gallery tour.
"Digital Works," a group exhibition of national and regional artists, features digital photography. On display in the CAC Gallery are the works of New York artists Barbara Kasten, Kathleen Ruiz, Eva Sutton and Oliver Wasow, and Los Angeles artist Joseph Santarromana. The exhibit is continued in the second-floor Smallworks Gallery with works by Nevada artists. CAC Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday and 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Other new tenants in the Arts Factory include Cricket Graphics, Advanced Travel of Las Vegas, Backside Ollie Skateboard Design and the studio of mural oil painter Dean Nielsen.
