Hollywood bad boy Christian Slater. The "Untamed Heart" star was questioned at a West Los Angeles police station after officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a high-rise condominium Monday morning. Slater, 27, was allegedly abusive toward his girlfriend during a party. A 30-year-old male acquaintance of the woman intervened to help and Slater allegedly bit the man on his stomach, according to KCAL-TV. "We don't know if he will be arrested," Officer Angela Grant told the Associated Press. Bad luck just seems to follow Slater, who last year settled a palimony suit with his then-girlfriend who sought half of his earnings during the time they lived together. In 1994, he was arrested at New York's Kennedy International Airport for carrying a pistol in his luggage.
Also stirring things up ...
Howard Stern may soon be duking it out with NBC's "Saturday Night Live." Rumors are flying that talks may have gone on between the shock jock and CBS, but a network spokesman was tightlipped about the prospect of a Saturday late-night series starring Stern. "We have no comment," he told the Associated Press in response to a report in the New York Daily News that David Letterman has spoken with network execs about producing Stern, who already appears on cable's E! Entertainment channel, in what would be an "SNL" faceoff. But it's plausible, since last year CBS bought Infinity Broadcasting which owns and distributes Stern's radio show. Stay tuned ...
Mac attack
Daisy Fuentes, the new host of "America's Funniest Home Videos" doesn't need a job. What she NEEDS is a cheeseburger! "If there were a McDonald's Anonymous, I'd be a member," the MTV maven and Revlon model told SHAPE magazine. But staying away from Happy Meals, along with exercise, helped earn the 30-year-old Cuba born and New Jersey bred beauty the spot on the magazine's cover and a place in cyberspace at famousbabes.com. Seems Fuentes, who began her TV career doing weather reports on a Spanish-language network, could have also used a couple of meteorology courses. She admitted: "A front could have been coming from my house and I wouldn't know it." Now a Quarter-Pounder with cheese and a side of fries is another story.
