Mushtaq A. Meer, 65, of Ontario, was driving eastbound when the car traveled across the median and vaulted 57 feet over the intersecting state route 401 under pass, the Nevada Highway Patrol said on Monday.
Meer and his 61-year-old wife, Janet, were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred around 7 a.m. Sunday, at about the midway point along the interstate across northern Nevada.
