Letter: Patrons were cheated of view at the racetrack
Thursday, April 17, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
I and others at the Busch race won't be back. We had $45 seats (all my family and friends can afford) and couldn't see the race.
Only $100 seats or private boxholders can now see the complete race track. It's enough we pay $4 per beer, $5 for a sandwich and $25 for shirts.
Why do you have this stupid, four-story building in the middle of the infield? It blocks views everywhere. Other tracks don't do that.
It used to be the best track in the world, now it isn't. They even get their friends in on a private way on a public road on Las Vegas Boulevard. It's wrong.
