Youths to stage ‘Oz,’ showcase

The workshop instructs local youths from the ages of 8 to 18 in the art of theater, song and dance. There will also be a showcase, which includes a variety of acting scenes, monologues, and songs and guest performances by the Garth Peay Jazz Dance Company from Orem, Utah, and the Kravenko Jazz Dance group Dance Rage.

The Children's Musical Theatre Workshop is in its fourth season and all proceeds provide funding for the Garold Gardner Scholarship Foundation. The five-year-old Scholarship Foundation has assisted local youths in continuing their performing education and professional careers.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students, and children under 5 are free. For more information, call 876-2806.
