Henderson sponsoring six ‘Fisherman’ performances
Friday, April 11, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
The Missoula Children's Theater and more than 50 Henderson students, kindergarten through 12th grade, will present an original musical adaptation of the popular Grimm fairy tale.
The play depicts what happens when Will the Fisherman catches an enchanted fish. The fish offers Will the chance to make his dreams come true. As one wish leads to another, he learns that happiness, not material gain, is the most important part of life.
There performances are at 3 and 7 p.m. on the following days:
SATURDAY: Kesterson Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St.
APRIL 19: Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway.
APRIL 26: Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Road.
The Missoula Children's Theater tours throughout the United States and Canada. Twenty-one teams of MCT Tour actors/directors will visit more than 600 communities this year. The students in each community have only 20 hours to learn, rehearse and perform.
Tickets are $5, $3 for students and seniors. Children under 3 are admitted free. Call 565-2367.
