Boulder City park to put on artsy face for show
Friday, April 11, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
On the afternoon of the 26th, the Henderson Symphony will play in the gazebo in the park. There will also be live entertainment the next morning with the Old Bagpiper and the Las Vegas Brass Band in the afternoon.
In between programs there will be raffle drawings for original art, and free drawings for Lake Mead cruises, gift certificates and overnight stays at resorts.
Fine-art pieces will range from paintings, sculpture, pottery, carvings and photography.
This year there will be four featured artists: Georgine Morelli, who specializes in scenes of the Southwest; Joyce Lee-Petersen, known for her landscapes; Lew Gange, a painter of the American West; and Aileen Dike, whose forte is painting landscapes and florals.
Call the Boulder City Art Guild, 293-2138, for details.
