Winners will be honored at the 1997 JC Penney/United Way of Southern Nevada Golden Rule Awards at the Stardust on May 22. Each will receive a Waterford crystal and a $1,000 check to be presented to the individual's favorite charity. Finalists will receive certificates and a $250 check for their favorite charity.

Nomination forms are available at United Way of Southern Nevada, 1660 E. Flamingo Road, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until April 14. For more information, call Mario Muncey, 892-2342.

United Way of Southern Nevada is the community's farthest-reaching nongovernmental health and human services nonprofit organization. Local volunteers work with area charities to reach out and touch the lives of thousands of Southern Nevadans in need.
