He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Barbara McCllum of Las Vegas; three sons, Lee Edward Daniel and Sylvester Whitfield, both of Las Vegas, and Charles Edward Splond of Monroe; two brothers, Johnny Richardson of Las Vegas, and Leonard Splond of Monroe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
