Kids of carriers receive grants

There were 27 applicants this year and $8,000 was raised, combined with the $2,000 the state bylaws allow, so 10 students will receive $1,000 each to help with their education.
Holly Taylor, 18, graduated from Vo-Tech Tech High School. She is attending Victor Valley College in California as a freshman and is majoring in business administration.
Kelli McClane, 21, graduated from Valley High School. She is attending UNLV and is in her senior year. She is majoring in secondary education.
Christina Ramirez, 18, graduated from Clark High School. She is attending Colorado College as a freshman and is majoring in molecular biology.
Catherine Reinhart, 18, graduated from Faith Lutheran High School. She is attending Concordia College in Nebraska, as a freshman and majoring in education.
Stephen Jones, 18, graduated from Eldorado High School. He is attending BYU as a freshman and majoring in engineering.
William Morris, 20, graduated from Eldorado High School. He is attending UNLV as a junior and majoring in sports and physical fitness.
John Tanzi, 20, graduated from Chaparral High School. He is attending Community College of Southern Nevada as a freshman and majoring in computer graphics.
Shauna Larsen, 18, graduated from Boulder City High School. She is attending Community College of Southern Nevada as a freshman.
Christine Dishaw, 21, graduated from Valley High School. She is attending Questa Community College in California, majoring in business.
