Cancer knocks Churchill candidate from race

His wife, Alice, told the Lahontan Valley News and Fallon Eagle Standard he underwent surgery last month for the stomach tumor but now faces chemotherapy for the new cancer.
"He's doing quite well and getting stronger every day, but he still has a long road ahead of him as far as recovery," she said.
"This was a big disappointment for him, It was a tough decision to make. He said he's just not up to it and that his health has to come first."
